 Here is our story: In 1999, I received a 100hookup email from Steven. I looked up his profile and remember thinking that he met all of the criteria on my mental checklist for the "perfect man." Although it took some time for us to actually get together, once we did, we both realized that there was definitely something worth exploring between us. We started dating, and within three months, casual dating turned into an exclusive relationship. After six months together, both of us realized that we had found the person we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with--the best friend we had been looking for for so long.
When it came to getting engaged, Steven really wanted to surprise me--and he did. He proposed on a normal day so that I wouldn't be suspicious. He picked Friday, July 7, 2000, and he met me right after I got off the bus from work. He proposed on the southwest corner of 55th Street and 1st Avenue in New York City. I was totally surprised when he got down on one knee in the middle of the sidewalk and asked me to marry him! You'd think that people around us would have stopped and stared, but this being New York City, everyone on the street ignored us.
Since then, it's been a whirlwind of planning, and now our big day, November 10th, is not far away. A big thank you to 100hookup for helping Steven and I find each other!
