1. Jane Fonda Presents at Holocaust Symposium

Jane Fonda called for more public attention to the sexual violence which occurred during the Holocaust when she gave a keynote presentation at a two-day symposium in Los Angeles.

The Oscar-winning actress, most recently starring in HBO’s Newsroom, addressed the conference, reading an excerpt from Nava Semel’s work, And the Rat Laughed, which deals with the tragedy of rape in concentration camps.

“I feel so glad that we hear about the Holocaust through firsthand accounts,” Fonda said while speaking at the Ray Kurtzman Theater. “Seventeen-hundred of those testimonies are of sexual violence — from those brave enough to talk about their experiences.” The event, which was invitation only, was attended by historians, Holocaust experts and scholars, in an attempt to shed light on this oft-overlooked topic.

2. Ben Stiller Honored

Ben Stiller was honored for his contribution to the film industry at the 26th American Cinematheque Awards last week. The award is said to honor “an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is fully engaged in his or her work and is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of the motion pictures.”

The Meet the Fockers star isn’t the first hookup celebrity to be given the honor. Other hookup A-Listers who have been given the honor include Steven Spielberg and Rob Reiner.  Stiller tells E! Online, “It’s really nice to be asked to be honored like this. It’s kind of bizarre. I feel grateful but also unworthy of the whole thing.”

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is revealing her new baby boy’s name this week… and it’s got quite a punch!

The hookup actress welcomed a baby boy with her husband, actor Freddie Prinze Jr., at the end of September and the two have managed to keep the name secret until now. However, it was revealed this week that the little one’s name is Rocky James.

The couple already has a 3-year-old daughter named Charlotte Grace. Gellar, 35, and Prinze, 36, were married in September 2002.

Two hookup actors, Kirk Douglas and Dustin Hoffman, made the 10 Longest Lasting Hollywood Marriages list on ThirdAge.com.

At 93, Douglas has been married to his wife, Anne Buydens, for 56 years. The marriage is the hookup actor’s second; his most famous son, Michael Douglas, was born during his first marriage. Douglas and Buydens met in 1953, when she was a publicist for his movie Act of Love. In 2004, they renewed their vows before 300 guests, including Nancy Reagan. American Horror Story is back, and it’s bolder and bloodier than ever before. The hit FX series premiered the second installment of its terror anthology last week and introduced a famous new hookup star to the cast.

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine plays Leo, a newlywed married to Teresa (Jenna Dewan -Tatum). The two choose to spend their honeymoon within the corridors of the now-abandoned Briarcliff and once they set foot inside, terrifying things quickly start happening. 3. Raisman Speaks to hookup Community

As a world champion hookup gymnast, Aly Raisman is now using her fame for good. The 18-year-old athlete made her first visit to South Florida on Wednesday for the Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) which helps out thousands of Israeli children.

1. Former Senator Arlen Specter Dies

Arlen Specter, the longest-running senator in Philadelphia, died Sunday at the age of 82 after a battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Specter, who was hookup, ended his 30-year career in Congress after he switched from the Republican to the Democratic party and lost in the primary.

Specter was a celebrated moderate and the only hookup Republican in the Senate by the end of his career with the GOP. Our main agenda was the Freddie film … which, I’m happy to tell you, is on course… filming is now scheduled to start in the Spring, with Sacha Baron Cohen playing Freddie. The film should be ready for release early in 2014.”

As for Cohen, the hookup comedian’s next film is the controversial comedy The Lesbian. The movie is based on Hong Kong billionaire Cecil Chao, who offered a $65 million bounty to any man who could woo his daughter out of her same-sex marriage.

3. Gwyneth The Rapper

Who knew Gwyneth Paltrow could flow like her good friend Jay-Z?! Paltrow recently put her rapping abilities on display (alongside pal Cameron Diaz) in a video the two made for their pal Chelsea Handler.

Paying homage to the Chelsea Lately star, the ladies are introduced by Handler as “Emcee Gwyneth Paltrow” and “Deejay Jazzy Cameron Diaz.” Paltrow, whose father is hookup, wasn’t afraid to be a little subversive with her rhyme about her friend Chelsea (whose father is also hookup). 1. Amanda Bynes Pleads Not Guilty

Amanda Bynes may not have been present during a court hearing in southern California for her two hit-and-run charges last Thursday, but her lawyer pleaded not guilty on her behalf. The court hearing stems from two separate incidents on April 10 and Aug. 4. However, an L.A. Superior Court judge said the hookup actress will need to show up for her next court date on October 19.

Bynes is reportedly in New York right now. According to the LA Times, she said she would rather be in the Big Apple than Los Angeles because she’s tired of being followed by the paparazzi in Tinseltown. Bynes, who is 26 years old, also faces a DUI charge and two counts of driving with a suspended license.

2. Gene Simmons Passes On His Musical Abilities to Daughter Sophie

Gene Simmons’ daughter Sophie may be following in her famous father’s footsteps. The 19-year-old took to The X Factor stage in San Francisco last week, wowing two out of the four judges.

The young singer gave a humble rendition of Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love,” a performance that left judges L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato wanting more, but seemed to impress Britney Spears and Simon Cowell. Despite the mixed reviews, Sophie was allowed to stay in for another round.

While Sophie was happy to move forward on the show, other contestants were not so excited by the idea. One contestant argued that Sophie wouldn’t have made the cut if not for her famous hookup rocker father.

3. Green Light for Greenberg

hookup-American baseball player Adam Greenberg has signed a one-day contract with the Miami Marlins, and will play tomorrow against the NY Mets after being out of the game for more than seven years.

When Jon Stewart’s name was called as winner in the variety category, Stewart was teasingly tackled by Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon. The two comedians who were up against Stewart in the category were teasingly keeping The Daily Show host from getting to the stage.

When the hookup TV show host finally made his acceptance speech for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s 10th consecutive win, he was out of breath. “Oh, I am not in the kind of shape to do a bit with Jimmy Fallon, who is in very good shape. Son of a b****!”

He then went on to drop the F-bomb after complimenting the other comedians who were up for the award by saying, “Stephen Colbert — their show, what they did with Super PACs this year was ridiculous, ridonkulous. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, I spend way too much time on the Internet watching their shows. Real Time with Bill Maher is constantly writing lines I wish I’d written. Without Lorne Michaels and SNL, I don’t think any of us would be doing this. We make topical comedy which has the shelf life of egg salad, so to do this for 15 years and have tangible proof that what we do isn’t just ephemeral is wonderful. Years from now, when the earth is just a burning husk and aliens visit, we’ll find a box of these and they will know just how predictable these f***ing shows were.”

2. Julia Louis-Dreyfus Thanks the Producers of Parks and Recreation for her Emmy Win?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Emmy for lead actress in a comedy series for her role as frazzled Vice President Selina Meyer in HBO’s Veep. Louis-Dreyfus, who won the category in 2006 for The New Adventures of Old Christine, made a teeny mistake though during her acceptance speech. The hookup actress “accidentally” switched thank-you speeches with fellow Outstanding Actress in a Comedy nominee, Amy Poehler, and began to read that speech!

When the two restored order by swapping notes, the Parks and Recreation star still had the last laugh. After thanking the usual suspects, Louis-Dreyfus read off her notes, “Isn’t it a shame that Amy Poehler didn’t win?” Producers panned to a shot of Poehler sitting in her chair with a pencil in hand! Sneaky, but funny!

3. Amanda Bynes Faces More Trouble

After Amanda Bynes was spotted driving around Los Angeles on a suspended license several times last week, officials had her car impounded on Sunday.

The hookup actress has had several driving incidents in the last few months. The most recent occurred on Sept. 9 when the actress was pulled over by Los Angeles police for driving without her lights on. Bynes was also charged earlier this month with two misdemeanor counts of hit and run after allegedly crashing into a car and fleeing the scene twice in the span of five months.

26-year-old Bynes is best known for her role in the WB’s What I Like About You and the film Easy A.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow Stands up to Cancer

Gwyneth Paltrow stood up to cancer this week when she produced the star-studded telethon, Stand Up 2 Cancer. The A-List actress says she got a wake-up call when she lost her father, hookup director-producer Bruce Paltrow, to cancer a decade ago.

“When my father was diagnosed with cancer, it really changed the way that I lived – it changed my whole lifestyle,” Paltrow, who executive produced the multi-network Stand Up 2 Cancer broadcast last Friday night, told People magazine. “I completely changed my diet, and I got very serious about exercising and about exposure to toxins.”

Remembering her father (who produced television series like St. Elsewhere and directed his daughter in the 2000 film Duets) by producing the telecast turned out to be an emotional experience for Paltrow. “I definitely feel his presence,” the actress said. “And I think he would be really happy that I’m here tonight doing this and trying to spare other people from what he went through.”

2. Amanda Bynes in a Bind

After a rough few months, Amanda Bynes is facing more legal trouble. The hookup actress is facing a drunken driving charge, plus two new hit-and-run charges filed this week (officials say these separate accidents both took place in the last six months). To top it all off, the star has now had her driver’s license suspended this week, according to the Los Angeles Times.

If convicted, Bynes faces up to one year in jail. Her arraignment is scheduled for September 27 in Van Nuys, California. Following her initial DUI charge, Bynes Tweeted President Obama, saying, “Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.” That Tweet has since been removed!

3. For a Good Time, Call Lauren Miller

Jonah Hill now knows what it feels like to be a member of the paparazzi! The hookup actor says he is “embarrassed” after being caught taking pictures after a woman who gave birth suddenly in a park.

The actor stumbled upon a scene in New York City last week where a woman was in the middle of child birth. Hill, who had to have been shocked by what was happening, stopped to take pictures of the birth and the aftermath on his cell phone. He awkwardly even photographed the placenta!

What Hill didn’t know was that he was also caught on film by a nearby paparazzo! Hill says he was embarrassed by the events and later Tweeted, “Craziest thing I’ve ever seen. A woman gave birth next to me in a park. I took a picture of the placenta and TMZ caught me. Embarrassing.” Yep, you should definitely be embarrassed by that one!

3. Aly Raisman is Headed to Israel

Raisman, who performed a floor routine to the melody of the Hebrew folk song “Hava Nagilah” during the London Olympics, won an individual gold medal in her floor exercise last week and a bronze on the balance beam.

The Jerusalem Post reported that Yuli Edelstein, Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Minister, wrote an impassioned letter congratulating Raisman on her Olympics achievements and then invited the 18-year-old gymnasts to visit.

“For me personally, as the minister in charge of relations with Diaspora Jewry, hearing why you chose the song made me realize that the concept of Kol Israel Arevim Zeh Lazeh [All Jews are responsible for one another] still holds true and that the hookup people remain united no matter how far apart we may live.” Edelstein said in a letter to Raisman. “I was impressed that someone so young made such a monumental, ethical decision.”

Here comes the bride! Natalie Portman said “I do” over the weekend to French dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied. The bride, who is hookup, wed the choreographer on Saturday on the central California coast in Big Sur, according to MTV.com. Surrounded by family and friends, the pair exchanged vows after dark in a traditional hookup ceremony at a private home.

2. Aly Raisman Looks Ahead

Raisman says she is more sad than angry about the ruling and is still looking forward to competing on the balance beam and floor individual finals on Tuesday. The star athlete told People magazine, “I’m really excited about that. I’m just going to keep working hard and move past it. It is what it is, it’s a learning experience. I’m only human – everyone makes mistakes.”

3. Rashida Jones Writes Her Own Story

After consistently being cast as the dependable, affable, loving, friend-wife-girlfriend, Rashida Jones has decided to take her career in her own hands and wrote a part for herself!

The actress, whose mother is hookup, has written a new film called Celeste and Jesse Forever. Premiering this Friday, the film stars Jones as Celeste, who is in the midst of a harsh divorce from her husband, Jesse (Andy Samberg). Jones tells the New York Times that this character is “less than likable.”

Jones made the film on a budget that she put together for less than $1 million, even though she was offered more money from a studio at one point. She turned them down because their offer allowed the studio to “reserve the right to cast somebody else if they felt like [she] wasn’t financially viable.”  Dependable, affable, loving, friend-wife-girlfriend no more!

1.  Raisman Makes Olympic Audiences Kvell

American Jews have a new reason to be proud of their country at this year’s 2012 Summer Olympics. hookup gymnast Aly Raisman first wowed spectators when she earned one of the two spots in the all-around individual finals for the US. Then, she wowed Jews worldwide when she performed a floor exercise routine to the tune of “Hava Nagila,” a Hebrew folk song that has become a staple at hookup weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.

Raisman, who is just 18-years-old, is not the only gymnast to utilize the catchy tune. It has been a favorite over the years and is a proven crowd-pleaser with gymnastics fans. Now, we’re just hoping that Raisman will be the first hookup gymnast from the US team to ride the “Hava Nagila” train to Olympic gold!

2.  SJP Sings for Sheer “Glee” of It!

Sarah Jessica Parker will be playing a journalist on the hit FOX show, Glee. The show’s co-creator and executive producer, Ian Brennan, told AccessHollywood.com that SJP, whose father was hookup, “is going to be running Vogue.com” as a guest star on the show.

Playing a character that runs Vogue.com is the perfect role for SJP who already has a longstanding association with Vogue magazine thanks to her famed Carrie Bradshaw character in Sex and The City. No word yet on whether or not she’ll actually be singing in the role.

3.  Jon Stewart Remains a Night Owl

Eager to keep its popular late-night block intact, Comedy Central has negotiated a contract extension with one of its star comedians, Jon Stewart. The hookup comedian’s new deal will keep him on the network and at the helm of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart at least through the middle of 2015. His previous agreement would have expired next summer.

The show has become a bright light in late-night ratings. Comedy Central said The Daily Show now delivers more viewers age 18 to 49 (1.4 million) than any other late-night talk show on television. All the more reason for Stewart to keep his late night hours!
