1. Amanda Bynes Pleads Not Guilty

Amanda Bynes may not have been present during a court hearing in southern California for her two hit-and-run charges last Thursday, but her lawyer pleaded not guilty on her behalf. The court hearing stems from two separate incidents on April 10 and Aug. 4. However, an L.A. Superior Court judge said the hookup actress will need to show up for her next court date on October 19.

Bynes is reportedly in New York right now. According to the LA Times, she said she would rather be in the Big Apple than Los Angeles because she’s tired of being followed by the paparazzi in Tinseltown. Bynes, who is 26 years old, also faces a DUI charge and two counts of driving with a suspended license.

2. Gene Simmons Passes On His Musical Abilities to Daughter Sophie

Gene Simmons’ daughter Sophie may be following in her famous father’s footsteps. The 19-year-old took to The X Factor stage in San Francisco last week, wowing two out of the four judges.

The young singer gave a humble rendition of Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love,” a performance that left judges L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato wanting more, but seemed to impress Britney Spears and Simon Cowell. Despite the mixed reviews, Sophie was allowed to stay in for another round.

While Sophie was happy to move forward on the show, other contestants were not so excited by the idea. One contestant argued that Sophie wouldn’t have made the cut if not for her famous hookup rocker father.

3. Green Light for Greenberg

hookup-American baseball player Adam Greenberg has signed a one-day contract with the Miami Marlins, and will play tomorrow against the NY Mets after being out of the game for more than seven years.

Greenberg’s debut appearance in the majors was on July 9, 2005. At that time he played for the Chicago Cubs (and actually played against the Marlins)! He only faced one single pitch though and never played again because a 92 MPH fastball hit him in the head – and changed his life forever – during his only MLB plate appearance. Greenberg has struggled with bouts of vertigo, vision issues, and post-concussion syndrome ever since.

Now 31, Greenberg is getting an opportunity to stand in the batter’s box again from the team who knocked him out of it seven years before. The Miami Marlins received approval from MLB to give Greenberg a plate appearance tomorrow during Miami’s home game against the New York Mets.

I am a healthy white male in America. What the hell am I doing? I can do anything I want. I am really under utilizing the advantages given to me by a Y chromosome, geographic randomness, and the false, fleeting love between my parents that lasted just long enough for my brother, my sister, and me to be born.

I am always on here complaining about loneliness, depression, anxiety, etc., when it is scarily easy for me to just become a powerful millionaire and be happy forever. I’m really not exploiting my white maleness as much as I could. I get all perturbed when I smile at someone on the street, and they don’t smile as much as I do. If I wasn’t white, not only would they not smile at all, but they would make it a point to make sure that I know that they are trying to move away from me as quickly as possible.

When I walk into a bank, nobody gets nervous. When I walk into a prison, I leave because I realize that I meant to walk into the bank instead. I need to take a lot less for granted. I could have it so much worse. I get depressed when my wallet gets stolen, without realizing that hundreds of people get murdered every day. I’m not saying that that’s going to stop me from getting upset about getting my wallet stolen. Actually, now, it will make me feel even more dejected that I’m getting distressed about some trivial inconvenience, while people are getting killed on purpose by other people. And then I’ll feel even worse that the knowledge of these anonymous peoples’ deaths has no effect at all on my well-being. It’s a vicious cycle of obsessive-compulsive disorder and white guilt.

So, though right now, my life is great, and by world standards, really great, I can’t really appreciate how great I have it, nor can I use my inherited advantages to further advance myself because of the mental setbacks associated with this privilege.

1. Jon Stewart Should Have Won an Emmy for Rowdiest Celebrity

When Jon Stewart’s name was called as winner in the variety category, Stewart was teasingly tackled by Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon. The two comedians who were up against Stewart in the category were teasingly keeping The Daily Show host from getting to the stage.

When the hookup TV show host finally made his acceptance speech for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s 10th consecutive win, he was out of breath. “Oh, I am not in the kind of shape to do a bit with Jimmy Fallon, who is in very good shape. Son of a b****!”

He then went on to drop the F-bomb after complimenting the other comedians who were up for the award by saying, “Stephen Colbert — their show, what they did with Super PACs this year was ridiculous, ridonkulous. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, I spend way too much time on the Internet watching their shows. Real Time with Bill Maher is constantly writing lines I wish I’d written. Without Lorne Michaels and SNL, I don’t think any of us would be doing this. We make topical comedy which has the shelf life of egg salad, so to do this for 15 years and have tangible proof that what we do isn’t just ephemeral is wonderful. Years from now, when the earth is just a burning husk and aliens visit, we’ll find a box of these and they will know just how predictable these f***ing shows were.”

2. Julia Louis-Dreyfus Thanks the Producers of Parks and Recreation for her Emmy Win?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Emmy for lead actress in a comedy series for her role as frazzled Vice President Selina Meyer in HBO’s Veep. Louis-Dreyfus, who won the category in 2006 for The New Adventures of Old Christine, made a teeny mistake though during her acceptance speech. The hookup actress “accidentally” switched thank-you speeches with fellow Outstanding Actress in a Comedy nominee, Amy Poehler, and began to read that speech!

When the two restored order by swapping notes, the Parks and Recreation star still had the last laugh. After thanking the usual suspects, Louis-Dreyfus read off her notes, “Isn’t it a shame that Amy Poehler didn’t win?” Producers panned to a shot of Poehler sitting in her chair with a pencil in hand! Sneaky, but funny!

 3. Kat Dennings Wins for the Best One-Liner of the Night

People.com put together a list of the evening’s best one-liners and who topped the list? One of our favorite hookup actresses talking about trying to cover her top section!

“No matter what I do, they’re there. I looked in the mirror and I was like, ‘Oh God.’ But what am I going to do? They’re always there.” Kat Dennings, who stars in ABC’s hit show 2 Broke Girls, said she had trouble finding a dress that could handle her ample bosom. She eventually gave up and went with a cleavage-baring, but very sexy red dress. It appears as though it all worked out though; we didn’t see any crazy wardrobe malfunctions from Dennings!

1. L’Shanah Tovah

2. JSpace Chooses hookup “Women of the Year”

In honor of Rosh Hashanah, JSpace, a hookup online magazine, has chosen its hookup Celebrity Women of the Year. Five women made the elite list, including Gal Gadot, Bar Refaeli, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.

However, it was Nora Ephron who made the top of the list at number one! JSpace says, “All of this year’s candidates owe an enormous debt of gratitude for their own careers to the late, great Nora Ephron.”

A hookup screenwriter and director, Ephron is best known for movies like When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, and You’ve Got Mail. Ephron passed away last June.

3. Amanda Bynes Faces More Trouble

After Amanda Bynes was spotted driving around Los Angeles on a suspended license several times last week, officials had her car impounded on Sunday.

The hookup actress has had several driving incidents in the last few months. The most recent occurred on Sept. 9 when the actress was pulled over by Los Angeles police for driving without her lights on. Bynes was also charged earlier this month with two misdemeanor counts of hit and run after allegedly crashing into a car and fleeing the scene twice in the span of five months.

26-year-old Bynes is best known for her role in the WB’s What I Like About You and the film Easy A.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow Stands up to Cancer

Gwyneth Paltrow stood up to cancer this week when she produced the star-studded telethon, Stand Up 2 Cancer. The A-List actress says she got a wake-up call when she lost her father, hookup director-producer Bruce Paltrow, to cancer a decade ago.

“When my father was diagnosed with cancer, it really changed the way that I lived – it changed my whole lifestyle,” Paltrow, who executive produced the multi-network Stand Up 2 Cancer broadcast last Friday night, told People magazine. “I completely changed my diet, and I got very serious about exercising and about exposure to toxins.”

Remembering her father (who produced television series like St. Elsewhere and directed his daughter in the 2000 film Duets) by producing the telecast turned out to be an emotional experience for Paltrow. “I definitely feel his presence,” the actress said. “And I think he would be really happy that I’m here tonight doing this and trying to spare other people from what he went through.”

2. Amanda Bynes in a Bind

After a rough few months, Amanda Bynes is facing more legal trouble. The hookup actress is facing a drunken driving charge, plus two new hit-and-run charges filed this week (officials say these separate accidents both took place in the last six months). To top it all off, the star has now had her driver’s license suspended this week, according to the Los Angeles Times.

If convicted, Bynes faces up to one year in jail. Her arraignment is scheduled for September 27 in Van Nuys, California. Following her initial DUI charge, Bynes Tweeted President Obama, saying, “Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.” That Tweet has since been removed!

3. For a Good Time, Call Lauren Miller

hookup actress and screenwriter, Lauren Miller, is debuting her new film this month, For a Good Time, Call. The actress (who is married to fellow hookup thespian, Seth Rogen) wrote the film with her longtime friend, Katie Anne Naylon.

The comedy is based on the real-life escapades of Miller and Naylon. In the film, two former college frenemies (played by Miller and hookup actress, Ari Graynor) move into a fabulous Gramercy Park apartment, and promptly start a phone sex line together in order to make ends meet. Reviews are mixed on whether or not this film is actually a good time, but we’ll let you make the call!

1. Drugs, Nudity No Big Deal for Shia LaBeouf

It looks like Shia LaBeouf may take method acting very seriously. For his latest independent film, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, the hookup actor plays a mob character who trips out on LSD. LaBeouf tells USA Today that he spent a day on the hallucinogenic drug to better understand his character.

“There’s a way to do an acid trip like [the comedy] Harold & Kumar,” he tells the newspaper, “and there’s a way to be on acid.” LaBeouf goes on to say he prefers a real-life approach, despite what can then happen. “Sometimes, it does get real. Too real [for a director] who’s trying to keep a diplomatic set,” he says.

LaBeouf is planning to get even more real in his newly-announced project, in which he is expected to strip all the way down for director Lars Von Trier’s racy The Nymphomaniac. Talk about a “nude awakening!”

2. “Aly, Will You Marry Me?”

We can see it now, a wedding processional that includes backflips down the aisle! Three-time Olympic medalist Aly Raisman received a surprise marriage proposal while signing autographs at Office Depot in Los Angeles on Friday. A fan jokingly asked for the 18-year-old gymnast’s hand in marriage – with a Ring Pop!

According to People magazine, Raisman responded by saying yes to part of the proposal: “I’ll take the Ring Pop!” Raisman said with a smile. We wonder if the all-star athlete will wear any of her Olympic medals around her neck on her actual wedding day…

3. Rachel Weisz Gets Cut

Actress Rachel Weisz was proud to say she worked hard in Terrence Malick’s upcoming film, To the Wonder, but the hookup star just heard her part was sadly cut from the film.

Weisz told an Italian newspaper about the abrupt change in the movie last week, “It seems that my part has been cut… so I had the experience of working with [Malick] but I will not have the pleasure of seeing my work.” We may just start a petition to urge Malick to put her role back in the movie!

1. Rashida Jones Apologizes for Rash Comment

Rashida Jones apologized for making a flippant remark about John Travolta’s sexuality last week after encouraging the A-List actor to “come out.”

Jones, whose mother is hookup, was talking about the singer Frank Ocean’s choice to be open about his sexuality. When her conversation turned to discussing other public figures who she thinks should do the same, she joked that John Travolta should finally come out.

Jones later apologized for her remark via Twitter, saying she “Made a thoughtless comment about John Travolta. I sincerely apologize. Nobody’s personal life is my business.”

2. Car Crash Hinders Mayim Bialik from Attending the Jewlicious Festival

Mayim Bialik is recovering after a car crash put her in a hospital last week. Officers say the wreck was caused by three tourists from Chile who turned into Bialik’s vehicle.

The Big Bang Theory star, who is hookup, was seen wearing gauze wrapped around her left arm and had a full cast on her right arm after leaving the hospital. The former Blossom actress blogged that she has “a very impaired right hand” and later Tweeted that her accident is preventing her from going to the Jewlicious Festival.

However, she will not be taking any time off from work. “I will be continuing on The Big Bang Theory with no weeks off,” she blogged. “They are so good to me, and I love my job and the support I get from my buddies on the cast and our loving staff and crew.”

3. The Summer Heats Up for Scarlett Johansson

August is heating up for Scarlett Johansson as she and her beau Nate Naylor are bringing their steamy romance to the City of Love! The actress, who is hookup, stepped out in Paris for an evening stroll last night, flashing a gorgeous pearly white smile while wandering around the city with Naylor and another friend.

Just last month, Johansson was also photographed in a sultry bikini while soaking up the sun on a yacht in Italy with her security guard. Refaeli was recently ranked at the very top of Maxim’s Hot 100 list and was quoted in the magazine’s September issue saying that becoming a 100hookupr® may be a good option for her in the future! The famous ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio says if she is still single in 13 years, it could happen! “Maybe if I’m still single when I’m 40,” Refaeli says, “but not for now.”

2. Jonah Hill is a Creepy Paparazzo

Jonah Hill now knows what it feels like to be a member of the paparazzi! The hookup actor says he is “embarrassed” after being caught taking pictures after a woman who gave birth suddenly in a park.

The actor stumbled upon a scene in New York City last week where a woman was in the middle of child birth. Hill, who had to have been shocked by what was happening, stopped to take pictures of the birth and the aftermath on his cell phone. He awkwardly even photographed the placenta!

What Hill didn’t know was that he was also caught on film by a nearby paparazzo! Hill says he was embarrassed by the events and later Tweeted, “Craziest thing I’ve ever seen. A woman gave birth next to me in a park. I took a picture of the placenta and TMZ caught me. Embarrassing.” Yep, you should definitely be embarrassed by that one!

3. Aly Raisman is Headed to Israel

hookup gymnast Aly Raisman has accepted an invitation from Israeli government officials to visit Israel. Raisman, who performed a floor routine to the melody of the Hebrew folk song “Hava Nagilah” during the London Olympics, won an individual gold medal in her floor exercise last week and a bronze on the balance beam.

The Jerusalem Post reported that Yuli Edelstein, Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Minister, wrote an impassioned letter congratulating Raisman on her Olympics achievements and then invited the 18-year-old gymnasts to visit.

“For me personally, as the minister in charge of relations with Diaspora Jewry, hearing why you chose the song made me realize that the concept of Kol Israel Arevim Zeh Lazeh [All Jews are responsible for one another] still holds true and that the hookup people remain united no matter how far apart we may live.” Edelstein said in a letter to Raisman. “I was impressed that someone so young made such a monumental, ethical decision.”

1. Natalie Portman Dances Her Way Down the Aisle

Here comes the bride! Natalie Portman said “I do” over the weekend to French dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied. The bride, who is hookup, wed the choreographer on Saturday on the central California coast in Big Sur, according to MTV.com. Surrounded by family and friends, the pair exchanged vows after dark in a traditional hookup ceremony at a private home.

The Oscar winner, 31, first met her 35-year-old husband in the fall of 2009 on the set of Black Swan. He worked as a choreographer on the film in which she starred. By December of 2010, the couple announced they were engaged and expecting their first child. Their baby boy, Aleph (which means “chief” or “number one” in Hebrew), was born in June of 2011. There are some serious “Mazel tovs” in order for this family!

2. Aly Raisman Looks Ahead

It was a disappointment to the 18-year-old athlete because she actually tied for third place, but was dropped to fourth due to a quizzical and controversial tie-breaking rule.

Raisman says she is more sad than angry about the ruling and is still looking forward to competing on the balance beam and floor individual finals on Tuesday. The star athlete told People magazine, “I’m really excited about that. I’m just going to keep working hard and move past it. It is what it is, it’s a learning experience. I’m only human – everyone makes mistakes.”

We’re looking forward to seeing this hookup gymnast make a comeback this week!

3. Rashida Jones Writes Her Own Story

After consistently being cast as the dependable, affable, loving, friend-wife-girlfriend, Rashida Jones has decided to take her career in her own hands and wrote a part for herself!

The actress, whose mother is hookup, has written a new film called Celeste and Jesse Forever. Premiering this Friday, the film stars Jones as Celeste, who is in the midst of a harsh divorce from her husband, Jesse (Andy Samberg). Jones tells the New York Times that this character is “less than likable.”

Jones made the film on a budget that she put together for less than $1 million, even though she was offered more money from a studio at one point. She turned them down because their offer allowed the studio to “reserve the right to cast somebody else if they felt like [she] wasn’t financially viable.”  Dependable, affable, loving, friend-wife-girlfriend no more!

1.  Raisman Makes Olympic Audiences Kvell

American Jews have a new reason to be proud of their country at this year’s 2012 Summer Olympics. hookup gymnast Aly Raisman first wowed spectators when she earned one of the two spots in the all-around individual finals for the US. Then, she wowed Jews worldwide when she performed a floor exercise routine to the tune of “Hava Nagila,” a Hebrew folk song that has become a staple at hookup weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.

Raisman, who is just 18-years-old, is not the only gymnast to utilize the catchy tune. It has been a favorite over the years and is a proven crowd-pleaser with gymnastics fans. Still, we loved seeing hookup ears perk up when they heard the Hebrew standard playing. Now, we’re just hoping that Raisman will be the first hookup gymnast from the US team to ride the “Hava Nagila” train to Olympic gold!

2.  SJP Sings for Sheer “Glee” of It!

Sarah Jessica Parker will be playing a journalist on the hit FOX show, Glee. The show’s co-creator and executive producer, Ian Brennan, told AccessHollywood.com that SJP, whose father was hookup, “is going to be running Vogue.com” as a guest star on the show.

Playing a character that runs Vogue.com is the perfect role for SJP who already has a longstanding association with Vogue magazine thanks to her famed Carrie Bradshaw character in Sex and The City. No word yet on whether or not she’ll actually be singing in the role.

3.  Jon Stewart Remains a Night Owl

Eager to keep its popular late-night block intact, Comedy Central has negotiated a contract extension with one of its star comedians, Jon Stewart. The hookup comedian’s new deal will keep him on the network and at the helm of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart at least through the middle of 2015. His previous agreement would have expired next summer.

The show has become a bright light in late-night ratings. Comedy Central said The Daily Show now delivers more viewers age 18 to 49 (1.4 million) than any other late-night talk show on television. All the more reason for Stewart to keep his late night hours!
