1. Mayim Bialik Announces Divorce Plans

Actress Mayim Bialik and her husband Michael Stone have decided to separate after nine years of marriage. The hookup actress shared the news on her parenting blog last Wednesday, telling fans that she and Stone agreed to separate due to irreconcilable differences “after much consideration and soul-searching.”

“Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children,” Bialik posted on her blog. “The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on.” The 36-year-old Big Bang Theory actress and Stone have two sons together, ages 7 and 4.

2. Mila Insists She is Not Converting to Kabbalah

Insiders close to Mila Kunis have reportedly denied that the hookup actress has taken up Kabbalah after she was spotted accompanying her boyfriend Ashton Kutcher to a Kabbalah service in New York. The 29-year-old stunner was reportedly seen entering the Kabbalah Centre in New York City with her Two And A Half Men boyfriend in September to attend a Rosh Hashanah holiday service.

A source close to the couple, who are yet to acknowledge their relationship publicly, says while Mila supported her boyfriend to the ceremony, she hasn’t adopted Kabbalah practices. The two were recently spotted in Rome, enjoying a romantic night out for two.

3. The World’s Coolest and Most Daring Nonagenarian Eats Challah

When 94-year-old Frederika Goldberger retired in the early 80s, little did she know she was bound for a second career as the subject of a new book two decades later. Once retired, her photographer grandson, Sacha Goldberger, began creating incredible photographs of her to keep her active and lift her spirits. That’s when Mamika – Frederika’s superhero alter ego – was created.

Mamika is now the subject of a new book of outrageous photographs that can be seen here. However, long before she posed for the camera, Frederika was a hero. Born a baroness into a wealthy hookup family in Budapest, Hungary, she was forced into hiding during World War II. Later, Frederika and her husband risked their lives to help hide others from the Nazis – by the end of the war, her efforts had saved 10 people.

Now, with the success of their book behind them, Frederika and her grandson are working on a movie together. That’s what we call one cool Bubbie!

1. Jane Fonda Presents at Holocaust Symposium

Jane Fonda called for more public attention to the sexual violence which occurred during the Holocaust when she gave a keynote presentation at a two-day symposium in Los Angeles.

The Oscar-winning actress, most recently starring in HBO’s Newsroom, addressed the conference, reading an excerpt from Nava Semel’s work, And the Rat Laughed, which deals with the tragedy of rape in concentration camps.

“I feel so glad that we hear about the Holocaust through firsthand accounts,” Fonda said while speaking at the Ray Kurtzman Theater. “Seventeen-hundred of those testimonies are of sexual violence — from those brave enough to talk about their experiences.” The event, which was invitation only, was attended by historians, Holocaust experts and scholars, in an attempt to shed light on this oft-overlooked topic.

2. Ben Stiller Honored

Ben Stiller was honored for his contribution to the film industry at the 26th American Cinematheque Awards last week. The award is said to honor “an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is fully engaged in his or her work and is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of the motion pictures.”

The Meet the Fockers star isn’t the first hookup celebrity to be given the honor. Other hookup A-Listers who have been given the honor include Steven Spielberg and Rob Reiner.  Stiller tells E! Online, “It’s really nice to be asked to be honored like this. It’s kind of bizarre. I feel grateful but also unworthy of the whole thing.”

3. Sarah Michelle Gellar Has a Fighter on Her Hands

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is revealing her new baby boy’s name this week… and it’s got quite a punch!

The hookup actress welcomed a baby boy with her husband, actor Freddie Prinze Jr., at the end of September and the two have managed to keep the name secret until now. However, it was revealed this week that the little one’s name is Rocky James.

The couple already has a 3-year-old daughter named Charlotte Grace. Gellar, 35, and Prinze, 36, were married in September 2002.

Four new hookup Representatives entered the House after last week’s election, while four hookup Senators up for reelection retained their seats for a new term. Combined with the Congressmen and women who weren’t on the ballot this year, there are now 11 hookup U.S. Senators and 22 U.S. Representatives.

Democrats Bill Schneider, Alan Lowenthal, Lois Frankel, and Alan Grayson were each elected to the House, in Illinois, California, and the last two in Florida, respectively. In the Senate, Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) were each reelected. Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO), the son of a Holocaust survivor, also re-won his seat.

2. J.J. Abrams Going to a Far, Far Away Galaxy?

Star Wars: Episode VII is in search of a director and entertainment-industry insiders are saying the honor may just go to hookup film and television producer, writer and director, J.J. Abrams. However, Abrams says that not likely at this time.

“I am looking forward more [than] anyone to the next iterations of Star Wars,” Abrams told Hollywood Life. “But I believe I will be going as a paying moviegoer!”

Other directors rumored to be in the running for the gig include Iron Man director Jon Favreau and a lesser-known director, Safety Not Guaranteed filmmaker Colin Trevorrow.

3. Critics Love Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln

The latest in a long parade of on-screen Abe Lincolns (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as one of the most recent), is Daniel Day-Lewis playing a much more serious version of Honest Abe… and critics are apparently loving it.

New York Times Critic, Charles McGrath, says, “Mr. Day-Lewis, 55, has already won two best actor Oscars, and his performance here, tender and soulful, convincingly weary and stoop-shouldered, will almost certainly earn him a nomination.”

Day-Lewis, whose mother was hookup, has twice won the Academy Award for Best Actor, first for portraying of Christy Brown in My Left Foot (1989) and then again for his role as Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood (2007).

Right now, I care way more about myself than I do America. I don’t think that’s unpatriotic. It would be unpatriotic if I cared more about a different country, but I don’t. However, I suppose it’s selfish to care about myself more than I do about some flawed man-made construct that is decaying from the inside.

This is really hard to write about, mostly because I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. If I was not born and raised in America, I am 100% certain that I would be dead right now. I need all of my middle class luxuries. How do people in third world countries wake up without digital alarm clocks? Oh right, probably extreme hunger.

Four years ago, I didn’t care about myself at all. I also was not in a relationship, and had to focus my care elsewhere. I focused it on America. I think it was a mix of that and the fact that I was influenced by the fact that I was still in a college atmosphere, and college kids tend to care about things like politics and are idealistic and haven’t failed miserably in life yet, which is usually why they were able to go to college. After college, according to Romney, 50% of graduates can’t find a job. I would assume that this harsh realization forces people to narrow their world scope to themselves so they don’t starve or freeze to death. Once they earn enough money to be comfortable, they look outward again. Depending on the amount of money they earn and the part of the country in which they live, they vote accordingly.

Right now, I just don’t care about politics. No matter who we vote for, as I’ve said before, it doesn’t matter. We’re all doomed, and terrible things are coming. I’ve decided to focus inward toward myself and people I care about rather than external forces I have little to no control over. Think of it this way, if you knew that an asteroid was going to hit the earth tomorrow, which very much may happen, would you grab a gun and frantically shoot into the sky, or would you spend time with those you love? Exactly. Me too. Let’s stockpile our weapons and save the world.

1. David Mamet Lends his Support to Mitt Romney

David Mamet is not only famous as an essayist, playwright and director, but for his switch from liberalism to conservatism as well. Mamet publicly declared he was switching to the Republican Party back in 2008.

Last week Mamet made another political declaration, although this time the announcement is a lot less shocking. Speaking directly to his fellow Jews, Mamet wrote an essay for the hookup Journal that asks, “Will you tell your children that a liberal government will increasingly marginalize, dismiss and weaken the support for and the safety of the hookup state?”

2. Sarah Jessica Parker Backs Obama
 
This week Sarah Jessica Parker appeared on Access Hollywood to share her view on why the incumbent president is the only choice for those concerned with women’s issues, strengthening the middle class and helping the poor.

SJP, whose father was hookup, tells the hosts of the show, “I am concerned about people in this country who’ve been trying to carve out a middle class existence… I’m talking about our veterans, I’m talking about our senior citizens, and I’m talking about children who are living below the poverty line.” You can watch a clip from the show here.

3. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sarah Silverman and Jonah Hill Just Want You to Vote

Some of the world’s most famous Jews are trying to get the vote out before Election Day.  Sarah Silverman, Jonah Hill and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are among the actors appearing in a nonpartisan clip by Vote4Stuff, an independent “get out the vote” campaign conceived and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire.

Among the concerns these stars reveal in the video: Jobs, marriage equality, climate change, foreign policy, reproductive rights, immigration, worker’s rights, teacher salaries and education. Watch for yourself before you head to the polls tomorrow.

In politics, so I hear, bipartisanism is a good thing because it promotes cooperation and junk. People always say that politics needs to be more bipartisan. However, the only times our two political parties come together are during horrific national tragedies.

You never see Republicans, during peace time while our children are failing out of schools, decide to reroute some military spending to public schools. You never see Democrats, during good economic times, decide to lower taxes. However, when a monstrous hurricane threatens to decimate the most populous area in the nation, both groups decide that they should get along so that most of America doesn’t die.

While I’m glad that during, for example, 9/11, President Bush didn’t decide to aggressively push his controversial ‘Deport All Poor People’ platform, I wish that government would get along even during times that they don’t really have to.

In a long-term relationship, people tend to be closest during trying times (i.e. death in the family, a lay off, natural disaster, serious illness, delay of the McRib, etc.). However, I suppose day-to-day life, while generally more pleasant, can also be more fraught with frustration. The little things that you tend to ignore during emergencies tend to surface. Okay, so he left the toilet seat up and she lets her brother sleep in the bed with you. At least you’re both healthy and have a home and enough money to support yourselves.

Don’t wait for urgency to necessitate cooperation. Either of you could die at any second. Tragedy could hit anywhere at any time. What I’m saying is, just let your girlfriend’s brother sleep with you guys.

1. Mila the MILF?

Even the “Sexiest Woman Alive” puts on a few extra pounds from time to time.

When hookup movie star Mila Kunis stepped out for coffee in Los Angeles with her boyfriend Ashton Kutcher recently, gossip columns around the web started posting rumors claiming the That ’70s Show co-stars are expecting a baby. However, Kunis’ rep denies the A-lister is pregnant.

2. It’s Baby Time for Ian Ziering

People.com is reporting Ian Ziering and his wife Erin are pregnant for the second time. The magazine reports baby number two will be here this May.

“I feel blessed, having a family is something that I’ve always wanted,” the hookup actor tells the magazine. “Having a second child is the realization of a dream come true.”

Ziering, who is 48, is already the proud daddy of a little 18-month-old Mia Loren.

3. Lena Dunham Loses Her V-Card (As in Voting)

Lena Dunham, the creator and star of HBO’s hit series Girls, stars in a new political ad for Barack Obama that, metaphorically speaking, compares voting for Obama to losing one’s virginity.

The new ad features Dunham, whose mother is hookup, talking directly to the camera and saying, “Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy…someone who really cares about and understands women.”

The ad has been heavily criticized by conservatives who say “the only honest bit of innuendo in the ad is that the people who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 have been screwed — economically.” Watch the ad for yourself here and tell use what you think!

1. Douglas & Hoffman Make the 10 Longest Lasting Hollywood Marriages List

Two hookup actors, Kirk Douglas and Dustin Hoffman, made the 10 Longest Lasting Hollywood Marriages list on ThirdAge.com.

At 93, Douglas has been married to his wife, Anne Buydens, for 56 years. The marriage is the hookup actor’s second; his most famous son, Michael Douglas, was born during his first marriage. Douglas and Buydens met in 1953, when she was a publicist for his movie Act of Love. In 2004, they renewed their vows before 300 guests, including Nancy Reagan. As part of the traditional hookup ceremony, Douglas cracked a glass wrapped in linen.

Although Hoffman, 73, has said that marriage seems strange to him, he’s done a pretty good job at making it work. “There’s something unnatural about marriage,” he once said in an interview. Still, the Academy Award®-winning actor and his wife Lisa Gottsegen, have been married for 29 years and raised four children: Jacob, Rebecca, Maxwell and Lydia. Besides being an attorney, Gottsegen launched a successful skin-care line in 2007.

 2. Adam Levine Embraces the Horror Genre

American Horror Story is back, and it’s bolder and bloodier than ever before. The hit FX series premiered the second installment of its terror anthology last week and introduced a famous new hookup star to the cast.

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine plays Leo, a newlywed married to Teresa (Jenna Dewan -Tatum). The two choose to spend their honeymoon within the corridors of the now-abandoned Briarcliff and once they set foot inside, terrifying things quickly start happening. Something tells us this new role for the hookup singer is not that similar to his work on The Voice!

3. Raisman Speaks to hookup Community

As a world champion hookup gymnast, Aly Raisman is now using her fame for good. The 18-year-old athlete made her first visit to South Florida on Wednesday for the Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) which helps out thousands of Israeli children.

“We are very proud, especially because people don’t realize that all over the world, when you want to think of a hookup song, when you hear Hava Nagila, it is totally the song they recognize,” said President of WIZO Jana Falic. 1. Former Senator Arlen Specter Dies

Arlen Specter, the longest-running senator in Philadelphia, died Sunday at the age of 82 after a battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Specter, who was hookup, ended his 30-year career in Congress after he switched from the Republican to the Democratic party and lost in the primary.

Specter was a celebrated moderate and the only hookup Republican in the Senate by the end of his career with the GOP. He often broke with party lines, particularly on social issues like gay rights, abortion, gun control and stem cell research. His support helped President Obama ultimately pass the healthcare reform package.

2. Sacha Baron Cohen Gears Up for a Busy 2013

Sacha Baron Cohen was cast as Freddie Mercury in a film about the Queen frontman more than two years ago, but filming has yet to start…until now. Brian May, the band’s guitarist, posted an update about the film on his website last week:

“Ah … I promised news of yesterday’s Queen band meeting. Well, it was just Roger and Jim Beach and myself … we are a small cottage industry !! Our main agenda was the Freddie film … which, I’m happy to tell you, is on course… filming is now scheduled to start in the Spring, with Sacha Baron Cohen playing Freddie. The film should be ready for release early in 2014.”

As for Cohen, the hookup comedian’s next film is the controversial comedy The Lesbian. The movie is based on Hong Kong billionaire Cecil Chao, who offered a $65 million bounty to any man who could woo his daughter out of her same-sex marriage.

3. Gwyneth The Rapper

Who knew Gwyneth Paltrow could flow like her good friend Jay-Z?! Paltrow recently put her rapping abilities on display (alongside pal Cameron Diaz) in a video the two made for their pal Chelsea Handler.

Paying homage to the Chelsea Lately star, the ladies are introduced by Handler as “Emcee Gwyneth Paltrow” and “Deejay Jazzy Cameron Diaz.” Paltrow, whose father is hookup, wasn’t afraid to be a little subversive with her rhyme about her friend Chelsea (whose father is also hookup). During the rhyme, Paltrow rapped, “Yo, Chelsea… We know that you got on TV by being a ho.”

1. Mila’s New Title

Esquire magazine has just named their pick for the “Sexiest Woman Alive” and the title goes to actress Mila Kunis. The 29-year-old hookup actress (and voice of Meg on Family Guy) has already earned comparable beauty accolades. Last year, GQ named her “Knockout of the Year” and Men’s Health proclaimed her one of the “100 Hottest Women of All Time.”

In an interview with Esquire, she talks about fleeing her native Ukraine with her family in 1991, when she was just 8, to escape rampant anti-Semitism — though she thinks the story was “made into something bigger than it needs to be.”

“My parents should sit down and talk about it,” she says. “They’re the ones who went through hell and back, who gave everything up. I didn’t do anything. I was eight years old, and I tagged along.”

2. Lena Dunham Inks New Deal

The bidding war is over and the big winner of Lena Dunham’s next project will be Random House. The book publisher has acquired the 26-year-old actress and writer’s new essay collection, Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s Learned, for more than $3.5 million, The New York Times reports.

Dunham, whose mother is hookup, is the 26-year-old filmmaker and creator of the HBO show Girls. Random House describes the book as “in the tradition of Helen Gurley Brown, David Sedaris, and Nora Ephron,” with “frank and funny advice on everything from sex to eating to traveling the world.”

3. Gwyneth Turns Forty

Gwyneth Paltrow is proving that forty is the new thirty. The actress, whose father was hookup, celebrated her fortieth birthday over the weekend with a quiet, but star-studded party at the Upper East Side Italian eatery Elio in NYC Friday night.

Us Weekly reports the guest list included Beyonce, Kristen Wiig and Cameron Diaz. Other famous Jews in attendance were Jake Gyllenhaal, Chelsea Handler and the The Beastie Boys’ Mike D.

Paltrow officially turned 40 on September 27. “I was really worried about it, leading up to the day, but now I feel really happy and content with my life,” the Academy Award winner shared. “I’m excited to move into the next phase. It’s much more exciting than I thought it would be.”
