It used to pain me to admit that I met my wife online. As if I was too pathetic to find someone in the real world. I needed algorithms. How romantic! That was 10 years ago, before online dating was as ubiquitous as belly button rings on 13-year-olds.

I found Jason’s profile on 100hookup and was struck that he loved music and was studying to become a Rabbi. I immediately emailed him a message, letting him know just that, and that my mom is the cantor at my temple so I know all about that world.
