Ahhhhh San Diego! Known as “America’s Finest City,” it’s also the best place to be single and hookup in the country all year round. With plenty of opportunities to play and party, you can find something different to do on every date. And finding a date? There’s no better place than the city Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy calls “the whale’s vagina” because San Diego has plenty of hookup fish in the Pacific Ocean. Add to that the burgeoning medical and technology field, and you have so many transplants that you can find someone from anywhere in the world, even a Raiders fan. Soledad (or any other view point along Interstate 5), having a picnic or bonfire on the beach, catching a fireworks show at Qualcomm Stadium or Sea World, eating at one of the many beautiful restaurants overlooking the ocean, catching a live music performance, and, of course, the timeless (albeit generic) walk on the beach – San Diego has 70 miles of coastline to mosey down while holding hands!

If you aren’t ready for a full day’s date and want something active yet easy, try East Village Tavern where can go bowling, watch sports on any of the gazillion TVs, grab a beer and split a plate of nachos. Head down to Prospect in The Village and go to any number of rooftop restaurants during Happy Hour where they have live music and you can enjoy the sunset while toasting with one of their signature cocktails. The last thing you need on a first date is pressure, which is why San Diego – with its laidback culture, perfect weather and countless amazing venues – is the best place to date in the country!
