Must Love Dogs: An Afternoon of Fun, Fetch & Flirting
Man’s best friend served as the perfect wingman for nearly 150 singles at 100hookup’s Must Love Dogs mixer over the weekend. Held at a private Topanga Canyon Estate, the 100hookup-sponsored event gave guests the opportunity to connect with like-minded animal lovers over drinks, games and dog-friendly activities, but the ultimate goal was to hopefully find true (puppy) love.
The event was hosted by world-renowned dog coach and bestselling author Tamar Geller, who has been called the “life coach for dogs and their people,” by Oprah Winfrey. Geller spent the day coaching singles to work with their pups, and to help guests better understand their four-legged friends.
“Dogs are a tremendous gift to the world,” says Geller. “They are amazingly sensitive, intuitive creatures with the remarkable power to transform the lives of the humans they touch. They have the uncanny ability to understand humans, working side-by-side with us and sharing our lives.”
Geller didn’t stop at coaching the singles to better understand their dogs though; she even gave guests a little push when it came to their love lives! By playing games that helped the guests better understand their pets, Geller also gave attendees an opportunity to get to know each other in an easy, no-pressure environment.
“The event aimed to give singles a chance to enjoy a day outdoors with their four-legged, furry ‘children’ and meet other singles who share a common interest,” said Arielle Schechtman, director of public and community relations for Best Free Hookup Apps, 100hookup’s parent company.
Twenty percent of the ticket sales will be donated to Operation Heroes & Hounds, an organization that presents injured U.S. military members with the opportunity to coach and live with shelter dogs.
“100hookup’s mission is to create lasting, meaningful relationships and build the hookup community,” said Schechtman. “We were pleased to partner with Tamar and Operation Heroes & Hounds in order to give 100hookuprs® a fun and unique opportunity to connect, while giving back to a worthy cause.”
