When I first joined 100hookup in late November, I began to see a pattern where I would have great, positive contact with several guys — but they would not ask me out! A meeting would always be discussed, but there were issues of drive time, schedules, etc. Yet, during this time, these guys would call, text, and IM constantly, which would wear me out and frustrate me! Any suggestions?
Can you name the first man appointed U.S. Consul to Jerusalem? In 1844, Warder Cresson was appointed, but never served, as the appointment was revoked while he was en route. Cresson’s journey to the Holy Land would have a profound effect on this earnest, truth-searching man.
It has been a wonderful whirlwind-relationship and we are ecstatic to have found our soul mates!
Dear Rabbi,
I live in a small city with only a few 100hookup members nearby. I love where I live, but I’m not opposed to relocating if that means I will be able to find my Beshert. Besides, my children are all grown and out of the house. However, no one I have contacted out of my state ever replies to my messages. Any advice?
This Shabbat, Jews around the world celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the new year of the trees. An ethical dilemma: A close friend confides in you that he/she recently purchased an expensive, one-of-a-kind, nonreturnable item. When he/she shows it to you, you are immediately aware that the item is not at all unique, your cousin has purchased the exact same item. Your friend and your cousin will probably never meet, so your friend will probably never know that he/she overpaid for something that was not really one-of-a-kind. Should you inform your friend?
Dear Matchmaker Rabbi:
I am living with a man who was in a 20-year marriage. We both are separated (me for 3 years and he for 1.5 years). We are both nearly finished with our divorces. We met when he had only been separated for five months. I have been dealing with issues with his older children, struggling with insecurities and adjusting to this new life.
The splitting of the sea is one of the most dramatic and well-known scenes in the Torah. It is the final, grand event of the exodus from Egypt, after which the Children of Israel were finally free to go and serve God.
