Sara and Shael
No Flirts were necessary for this couple! Initiated by Sara, she instant messaged Shael only one week after he joined 100hookup! In their first conversation, they realized they went to the same school and even had the same professor! But their communication didn’t stop here; it advanced to emails, texts, phone calls and then, finally, their first date!
Sara and Shael met at the 96th St subway station on Broadway in the torrential rain, Shael sheltering Sara with his umbrella all the way to the date spot – a ping-pong gym! Although Sara, being bashful, said she was terrible at ping-pong, two hours passed without the ball hitting the floor and without a second of silence! The date continued with coffee, cake, and the promise of a second date!
It was the Friday night after their first date that really sealed the deal for Sara and Shael. Not knowing the other was doing the same thing, Sara and Shael both emailed one another to wish each other a good Shabbos and the rest, as they say, is history. Six months later, on the beach in Miami, Shael popped the question accompanied by a custom photo book, a box of marshmallow twists and a gorgeous ring!
The couple has plans to get married on November 6, 2011.

Sara and Shael are excited to announce the birth of their first “JBaby,” Lucy Bea. Born on April 15th, 2013 in New York, New York to the happy couple, Sara and Shael couldn’t be happier. Mazel tov!
