Sandra and Kevin
January 18, 2009 was a day like any other. I was on 100hookup perusing the “goods” and up pops “NoPrinceCharming” – I was intrigued. My first thought was this guy is hysterical. Anyone that creates a username that’s the opposite of what almost every woman wants was definitely someone I wanted to meet.
Sure enough, we IMed back and forth and, when I finally had gotten super annoyed of talking for hours on IM, I took the first step and asked him if we could speak on the phone. I was never a shy girl but I was getting pretty frustrated; that and, of course, my fingers were getting tired of typing.
Anyhow, we took our conversation to the next level. So much so that, from the start, we were laughing so hard together! He asked me out and, soon thereafter, we had our first date at Moxies in Toronto. It was magical. The date lasted 8 hours. And, afterwards, we dated for a while before deciding it was time to move in together,
And so, on September 30, 2010, we moved into our new home! Less than two weeks later, on October 10, 2010, Kevin proposed to me at my 92-years-young grandmother’s (nagymama’s) house. It was a magical moment for me to have her there and for Kevin to have planned it with her involved. Not to mention, the ring was stunning!
It was less than six months later, March 31, 2011, that we were married. It was an amazing affair, filled with tons of laughter, great food, great music and our surprise dance to Beyonce’s “Put a Ring On It.”
After the wedding, we ventured off on a 21-day honeymoon beginning with a 13-night Mediterranean cruise. Our trip was incredible. We visited Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Germany and New York City. But what’s the best part about married life? Knowing you have someone there to count on, to trust and to be by your side. We are lucky to have found each other. We are grateful that 100hookup was the vehicle to bring us together and, most of all, we are excited for the future ahead.
