Dear 100hookup,
Ryan and I met on 100hookup on December 17, 2007. Ryan had registered an account that morning because his friend convinced him there was nothing to lose by joining. He decided that he would log on for a couple days and see what happens. It just so happened that on the same day, I was looking through profiles and came across Ryan’s. He had no information up as he had just registered that day. No name, no picture, nothing. I had a gut feeling that I should send this man a message just introducing myself. I took a chance and received a response about an hour or so after I hit the send button.
Ryan and I agreed to meet on December 26, 2007 for coffee. We sat and talked for a few hours and he told me that he may not be able to contact me for a few days as he will be away with his family on a trip for the weekend. The next morning I received a text message from him saying “hi” and that he was thinking of me. He came back and our second date was New Year’s Eve where I met his friends for the first time. Two months later, we couldn’t bear being apart from each other so Ryan moved in with my mom and I. We won a free trip to the Dominican Republic in December 2008. It was pure coincidence that we happened to book the trip on our one-year anniversary. On the night of our anniversary, Ryan took me out to the beach and placed a mini set of speakers on the sand and asked me to dance with him under the stars. He started to recite a love poem and he ended the poem on one knee and asked me to marry him.
We are now happily engaged and excited to plan our wedding in 2010.
