Elaine and Stan
Dear 100hookup,
Stan’s bio. came up when I did a search through 100hookup.com in mid-August, 1998. I was surprised to find that he lived only a few blocks from the cyber-cafe that I was using because I didn’t have my own computer. I didn’t give my full name or number on my reply to him, but after a few hints, he successfully found my phone number and called. We met on August 21, 1998 at a sushi restaurant next door to the cyber-cafe.
It seems to have been ‘beshert,’ as we hit-it-off right away. We talked about being together, but not necessarily marriage. Oct. 21, 1999 – on our 14th month of dating, Stan proposed, and we planned an engagement party for the following April 1st. About 3 weeks before the party, we both spontaneously decided to turn it into a wedding since our friends and family were all in from out-of-town. We quickly found a Rabbi, bought the rings, made a chuppah and had a topsy-turvy fun-filled wedding weekend: Friday night dinner with out-of-towners, wedding cake for dessert, Saturday night a big engagement party, and Sunday morning, April 2, the wedding at the home of a close friend.
We’re terrifically compatible and are enjoying a wonderful life together. We smile and chuckle when people ask how we met. It seems so strange to realize that it was through the Internet and with the help of 100hookup.com that we found each other, even though we lived so close!!
Thanks, 100hookup.com!!!!!
