Scanning 100hookup in the late night, I sent a Flirt to Paul. The Flirt was one of the preselected choices stating, “Your profile piqued my interest…” Little did I know that sending that Flirt would change my life. Paul responded by email and gave me his phone number. He preferred talking, not texting or emailing. Little did he know how much I could talk!

Before calling him one Saturday morning, I did text him asking if he was busy or working, and when a good time to talk would be. He said, “Now!” I called and we spoke for a bit and made plans to meet for an early dinner on Labor Day. We lived about 45 minutes away from each other (now we live together and are so fantastically happy!) and I did not want him to drive so far for our first date. We met half way at a restaurant called Andiamos. Ordering some pizza, I slowly began to realize that he was a super picky eater who had not tried many diverse foods (like spinach or even extra tomatoes on a slice)! We ate and talked, and I talked and talked, and he really listened. This is important to me, I even wrote on my 100hookup profile, “Do any men listen anymore?” Paul, being the lawyer that he is (with a photographic memory), knew listening was important to me. He asked me out for a second date on our first date and we have been together ever since! Except for a one month “gap” as Paul liked to call it…

We were dating for about a month or two when Paul expressed his loving feelings for me and I returned them. Then, I became nervous and I told Paul I needed some time to get some of my issues straightened out. He told me he would wait for me, but also said that he did want a relationship that could grow into something lifelong. Basically, he was saying, “Make up your mind or this great guy might get snatched up by someone else!” We ended that conversation on a friendly note, but leaving me confused and anxious. In my heart, I knew Paul was for me. I had not made healthy choices in my past dealing with men, so I wanted to make sure that being with Paul was 100 percent the right choice for me!

Shortly thereafter, I texted Paul at around 1 AM (as I did the first time I ever texted him) and he was awake! He answered me back and I called him! Now, that was at the end of December and we truly have been in each other’s arms since that night!

I made the smartest, bestest, greatest, most wonderful life-changing decision I have ever made in my life! Paul and I are super-duper happy, loving, best friends, partners, and crazy-for-each-other-people when we are together! We complement each another in (almost) every way. I talk tons and tons, and he listens more than any other person I’ve ever met in my entire life (other than maybe my sister)! In return, I would do anything for him and he knows it. And I know he feels the same! We both have kids in college, families that are important to us and we both have the same beliefs about all those topics. We will marry one day when the time is right for both of us. We have discussed it, and we both want that for our future lives together. So, let us know where to send your invitations because without 100hookup, there wouldn’t be a “Sophia and Paul!”
