100hookup is responsible for more hookup marriages than all other dating sites combined! But we’ve got more than just statistics to back it up. In our “Success Stories” feature, you’ll meet real couples who found love online.

Jennifer & Michael

From the moment we met, we just kind of “knew.” Not because we looked into each other’s eyes and fell madly in love, but more because we had lived a LOT in our 35+ years, had survived heartache, hardship and loss, and yet after all the bumps in the road, were open to giving the whole 100hookup thing a try.

I was Michael’s first 100hookup “date.” He was my third. The first half hour of our date we told our stories and we didn’t hold back. Michael had lost his wife to breast cancer two years prior and his father, also to cancer, just one month after his wife. He shared that he had two sons, ages 4 and 6, who were his world. I lost my mother and uncle to cancer in my early 20s and had recently gone through a devastating breakup and divorce. Needless to say the date was going awesome.

But after we bared all, we had a very easy date. We talked and laughed and I remember I smiled a lot. Michael is a lawyer and I am a kids’ yoga and fitness instructor. The irony, or not, is that I spend my days playing with everyone else’s babies and kids, but never had any of my own. My day-to-day work was pretty much the polar opposite of Michael’s daily grind.

We wound up talking past midnight, not realizing that the restaurant was closing. Michael drove me home, which was around the corner. I could have walked, but I didn’t want the date to end.

After that our story unfolded. We saw each other when the kids went to sleep and whenever Michael could get a sitter. After a few months I met the boys, who quickly stole my heart. Within a few months, I was with all three of them more than I was home.

I began to move my work out to Long Island, and reverse commuted to my apartment in Forest Hills, Queens most days. I became known as Yoga Jen around town among friends and classmates of the boys. Not long after, my apartment – which had been on the market for over a year – sold, and I moved in. It was the most natural transition for us and for the boys.

We tell the kids that we “met on the computer.” One day, during a playdate, a friend of my now adopted son said with his mouth wide open, “She came out of the computer? And now she lives here?!”

We got engaged our first weekend away “just us” and decided we didn’t need a long courtship given the unique nature of our relationship. We joke that our “wooing phase” lasted like 5 minutes.

We got married on October 31, 2015 surrounded by our family and friends and their kids. We wrote our own vows – Michael to me and mine to Michael and both of our sons.

Now we’re all “officially official.” And yes, the computer is a pretty cool place to meet the love of your life.
