Yes! You can send and receive photos while chatting via Instant Messaging. Please note that our Terms of Service always apply, so any inappropriate photos you send may compromise your account on 100hookup.

In an active chat window, you can view your most recent chat history by scrolling up. To view older chats or messages with a particular member, click the “Conversation History” link through to the conversation in your Inbox.

In order to find your complete IM Chat history, follow these steps:

1. Click the Inbox link at the top of any page
2. Find your conversation thread on the list pane on the left
3. Scroll through the conversation and expand any chat conversations

If the member is offline, you may also click on the chat history button at the top of the conversation thread.

A 100hookup member can receive and accept a Chat invitation when he/she is online. Look for the green dot on that member’s profile picture to see if he/she is currently online and click on the chat icon on their profile to send an invite and launch that chat window.

If you’re having sending problems with 100hookup’s IM Chat feature, try these remedies:

1. Upgrade to the newest (non-beta) version of Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
2. Turn your sound on or up to be sure you can hear the IM notice
3. Make sure that cookies and JavaScript are enabled on your computer

If you can’t find your IM chat box:

1. You may have a pop-up blocker installed that prevents your chat box from popping up
2. The chat window may be open but is hiding behind other windows on your browser

100hookup does not have the option of sending an individual member photos in a message. However, you do have the option to send photos through our Chat via Instant Messaging feature.

Yes – sometimes it’s a great idea to mull over a message before you send it! 100hookup auto-saves message drafts for you just in case, but you can also save drafts to be sent later. Just click on the “Save Draft” button, instead of the “Send” button. Find the message by filtering by drafts in your Inbox.

In order to see a message thread, you will click on the Inbox link at the top of any page of the site. From there, you can click on the particular conversation you wish to review and read the exchange.

You can see the messages you’ve sent other members by clicking on the Inbox link at the top of any 100hookup screen. From there, use the dropdown menu on the left to filter by sent messages.

We understand that you might want to browse incognito when you’re first connecting with another 100hookup member. If you don’t want that member to see that you’ve viewed his/her profile, you can use the fun “Secret Admirer” feature. You can also set your profile status to “Hidden” under Profile Display Settings, which will stop members from seeing that you’ve viewed their profiles.

Making contact can be nerve-wracking, though we prefer to think of it as exciting! Here are some quick tips for writing a message that will inspire a response:

1. Read the member’s profile carefully and refer to at least one element in it to show that you pay attention.
2. Mention common interests. This will make the other member see that you could make a good match!
3. Compliment the way the member wrote the profile. He/she took the time to make it the best it could be, so take note…though don’t be heavy-handed.
4. Be yourself. A natural flow of conversation creates the most natural relationships.
5. Honesty is the best policy. 100hookup is about real people creating real relationships. You don’t have to reveal everything about yourself right away, but be honest about the information you do put forth.

You will get a scam warning when a message was removed from your inbox because the sender was removed due to suspected inappropriate or fraudulent activity.

Only the recipient will be able to read your messages.

100hookup has many features to help prevent fraudulent activity. Members who send an over-abundance of messages are sometimes fraudulent, trying to get other members to bite on a scam. Since we believe in the adage “”better safe than sorry,” we flag these members. If you think your message limit has been reached in error, please contact Customer Service.

Your messages may not be getting read for a variety of reasons. They could have a backlog of messages, they may not be checking in on the site, or they may not be a paid subscriber. However, don’t worry, your message will remain in that recipient’s inbox, so if they do purchase a subscription at some point, they will be able to see it.

AllAccess messages are guaranteed to be read by any member on 100hookup, regardless of whether or not they are a paid subscriber. Without AllAccess you are only allowed to communicate directly with other subscribers, but with AllAccess you can send messages and chats to the whole 100hookup community.

There may be a variety of reasons why you have not yet received a response to your messages. The member you’ve contacted may not have logged in recently. Or perhaps he/she hasn’t had a chance to read or respond to any messages. Life can get busy, right?

It’s also possible that this member may not feel the two of you would make a good match. Try not to take it personally. We do, however, encourage all members who don’t want to move forward to respond with a polite “No thank you.”

If you really want to get to know someone, invite a potential match to chat via Instant Messaging. That’s the quickest way to have a meaningful conversation in real time.

Yes! As a free member, you can and should send “Flirts”! “Flirts” are a fun way to break the ice! If you want to take advantage of even more great 100hookup communication features, like actual messages, you will need to purchase a subscription.

You can send one “Flirt” per recipient. But you’re allowed to send as many “Flirts” as you like to different recipients.

A “Flirt” is a fantastic way to break the ice and start communicating with 100hookup members who interest you. When visiting another member’s profile you can easily send a “Flirt” by clicking on the “More” icon (…) and selecting “Flirt” from the menu options. That “Flirt” message from you will then appear in their inbox and they will receive a notification.

Yes, that’s the “ALL” in AllAccess. You can message any 100hookup member with the AllAccess feature.

Yes. If you send an AllAccess message to any person on 100hookup, we guarantee that they will read the message you sent to them. Take note that only the recipient of your message will be able to see and read it, rather than EVERYONE on 100hookup being able to read your message.

You can purchase AllAccess in addition to your subscription by going to the “Upgrade Now” link on the top of your screen and selecting the AllAccess package to add onto your subscription.

Note: If you are not a paid subscriber, you will need to purchase a subscription to add AllAccess features.

100hookup guarantees that ALL AllAccess messages will be read or we will give that credit back to you. The member will receive your message in his/her personal email account as well as in his/her 100hookup inbox. If the message is not opened within 10 days of being sent, we will send a “Nudge” to the recipient. If 15 days pass and they have still not opened your message, you will receive the unopened message back with a refund for that message. If the message is opened at any point during those 15 days it counts as being read, but we can’t guarantee you will receive a response.

AllAccess is a premium subscription feature that allows you to communicate with any member on 100hookup, regardless of their subscription status. Without AllAccess you are only allowed to communicate directly with other subscribers, but with AllAccess you can send messages and chat via instant messenger with the whole 100hookup community.

Here’s how it works:
Whenever you send a message, you will have the option to send it as an AllAccess message or a standard message by checking the specified box. If you check the box and send it as an AllAccess message, we allow both subscriber and non-paying members to read and send a reply. We also guarantee it will be read or it won’t count against your monthly allotment.

In addition, with an AllAccess subscription, you can unlock the ability to initiate a chat (instant message) session with any 100hookup member. When you purchase an AllAccess subscription, you’ll receive 10 AllAccess messages a month for the given subscription term. Should you need more than 10 AllAccess messages in a given month, you may purchase an add-on message package. Unused AllAccess messages will roll over month to month.

If you have used all 10 of your AllAccess messages for the month, you will see a prompt to purchase extra messages when sending a message to a member through 100hookup. You will be able to purchase an additional 10 AllAccess messages.

Yes, you can delete your message history in your Inbox at any time. To do so, click on the Edit button next to the conversation filter. Check the check boxes to the right of the messages you want to delete, then click the trash can button. Please note that this will delete your entire message thread with that user.

If a member purchases Read Notifications they can see if you have read their message. There is not an option to turn off Read Notifications once you have it, unless you allow the feature to lapse in your subscription.

You can view your interaction history with a member in your Inbox or on that member’s profile. In the Inbox, open the conversation with that member. Click on the clock symbol next to their thumbnail. On the member’s profile, click on the clock symbol that says “View History” to open up your interaction history.

If you’re already a 100hookup subscriber, you have the option to purchase Read Notifications. You’ll be able to see if your messages to other 100hookup members have been opened.

Blocking a member will not delete your message history, so that member will still have the ability to read your past conversations from within his/her own 100hookup account.
