Alison and David: “We met on 100hookup from 1,000 miles apart.”
Our story really is a fairytale. We met on 100hookup from 1,000 miles apart. I was living in Philly and had just moved back after spending four years in Boston. I came home from a fun late night out with friends in October 2010 and went on 100hookup to check messages before going to bed. I looked to see who was online and Alison came across my screen. Being the charmer that I am, I sent Ali a message saying, “Hi, I know I live a thousand miles away, but I think you’re gorgeous.” Ali, being rather charmed, messaged me back and we began talking. That soon carried over to daily phone calls and Skype sessions.
After nearly a month, I invited Ali up to Philly for a Dave Matthews concert. Despite Ali’s hectic work schedule, she jumped on a plane to meet me face-to-face for the first time in November. It was love at first sight when I picked her up at the airport. She was everything I imagined and more. We were both extremely nervous, but, needless to say, we were glowing and kissing each other like we had known each other forever. After our first date at Bonefish Grill and the Dave Matthews concert, we both knew this was going to be something special.
We alternated flying back and forth between Philly and Fort Lauderdale once a month. After a year of dating long distance, I moved to Florida to be with Ali full time. We went from seeing each other once a month to living with each other. We couldn’t have been happier. After a year of living together, I proposed to Ali on December 15, 2012. After a busy year of planning, we celebrated our wedding with friends and family in sunny Florida on November 10, 2013.
