Nikki and Thomas: “Ten years later, we feel like a true 100hookup success story.”
I was living in Manhattan for several months when the tragedy of 9/11 happened. It was a really difficult time for all of us living in New York and it made the idea of casual dating seem even more meaningless. In the month that followed, I decided to give 100hookup a try because my new found perspective on life made me eager to find my Beshert.
Towards the end of October, Thomas contacted me. It was a Sunday morning and we agreed to meet for coffee later that night. Our first date was short and sweet and left us both wanting to find out more about each other. Later that week, we went for dinner at a hole in the wall Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side and that’s when we knew that there was real potential. That night, Thomas walked me back to my apartment to make sure I got home okay and we had our first kiss. Across the street, an old married couple yelled “Oooh, you’re going to get married!”
…And on November 9, 2003, we did! Three beautiful kids and 10 years later, we feel like the true 100hookup success story. We now live in South Florida and recently flew back to New York for our 10 year anniversary. Walking in the city, we saw a poster for 100hookup and it made us feel like we really wanted to share our story and hopefully inspire other 100hookup successes.
