Take this quiz to help determine if your current mate or date is your best choice.

1. Would you say that your current mate has: 
A. most of what you want in a lifelong partner?
B. little of what you want in a lifelong partner?

2. Would you say that your date or mate: 
A. feels lucky to have you?
B. thinks that you’re lucky to have him?
C. feels that you’re both lucky for having each other (with a leaning toward feeling like the luckier one)?

3. Does your current mate: 
A. share your desire to eventually enter into a lifelong, committed relationship?
B. not share your desire to enter into a lifelong, committed relationship?
C. you’re not sure.

4. If you’re naked or sexually intimate with your mate, do you feel:
A. secure, happy, turned on?
B. insecure and nervous?

5. Do you and your current mate: 
A. mostly agree on the big things like love, money, and sex?
B. disagree about love, money, and sex?
C. you haven’t talked about it.

If you answered all As, you’re on the right track. If you answered any Bs you should probably take a few steps back to figure out if this relationship is a good fit for you. If you’ve found yourself checking off lots of Cs, you probably don’t have a good grasp of the reality of your relationship (and it’s probably not a great one).

    Do I get my jollies from point out the obvious…meh…perhaps. Yet, here’s the rather obvious: If there already weren’t “trouble in River City” (with regards to one’s mate) then isn’t taking this petite questionnaire an exercise in self-fulfilling prophesy?
