Sara and Lane
Dear 100hookup,
Never in a million years did I ever think I would be writing in with my very own Success Story.
Lane and I emailed a few times in January 2009, and after realizing we lived right around the corner from each other, we decided to meet at a bar “in between” both of us. We’d both been on many dates, tried all kinds of outlets to meet new people, and had practically given up on this silly online dating thing. But something happened when we met that night. Over beers and mini burgers, we laughed over our dating past, discussed the similarities between our families, and our love of the city of Chicago. It was a cold and snowy night, but Lane was kind enough to walk me home. Unfortunately, I was leaving the next day to travel for work, and wouldn’t be back around for a few weeks.
To my pleasant surprise, Lane called me while I was out of town, to say hi and see how the trip was going. He asked if I wanted to get together again to see a concert when I was back in town. The rest, as they say, is history. That was the last moment we spent apart. Our connection was like nothing I’d ever known, and we were amazed at how quickly we fell into a comfortable, and unbelievably happy, love.
Lane and I moved in together in September 2009, and in October, after a day full of surprises, he proposed in the Signature Room of the Hancock in Chicago. Lane had even coordinated for my parents to come in, and both of our families to meet for dinner that night, all to my surprise.
Lane and I are getting married in September, a year and eight months after we first met on a snowy night in Chicago. I’m still amazed that because of 100hookup, I am going to marry the love of my life.
I tell everyone I know who is single to give 100hookup a try, and not give up, because we’re proof it really can work.
Thank you, 100hookup, for bringing us together!
