Lisa & Scott
Dear 100hookup,
My name is Lisa and I was on and off 100hookup for YEARS! I went on so many blind dates and never seemed to meet the right one. In June of 2006, I had almost given up but I decided to go out with this guy named Scott. Our first meeting was at a local Coffee Bean. I had a nice time but he was shy and I wasn’t sure if there was a connection. I decided if he called me, I would go out with him again. A week or so went by with no call. I was a little surprised and so I emailed him to find out what had happened and he told me that he was very busy at work but wanted to go out again. We went out that very next week for dinner and had a good time. At dinner, I decided to invite him to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl which is something I would never have done in the past, but for some reason I felt very safe and comfortable with Scott. We had a great time at the concert that night and we continued dating after that. Every night after our dates I would come home and tell my friends that I really liked him. There was something about him that I was drawn to. Each date things got better and better. I remember thinking after a few months of dating Scott that I could see my self marrying him. He was funny, sweet, thoughtful, and so many other qualities I was looking for in a partner. At our one-year anniversary of dating, Scott proposed at the very place we met. Now we are getting ready for our wedding in June of 2008, and I couldn’t be happier. I am over 40 and never thought I would find the right guy…but I did! He is out there so don’t give up!!! – Lisa
Tips for other 100hookuprs:
Have an open mind about your dating “criteria”. Give people a chance to get to know you and vice versa. If I hadn’t given Scott a chance I would have missed out on the love of my life! During your search, if you find one or two things that interest you about a particular person, explore further… you may have more in common than you think. And yes…it may take some time to meet the right person, but it is well worth it when you finally do so don’t give up!
