Rachel and Adam
Dear 100hookup,
Adam’s side of the story: “As a matter of fact, I do have a success story from 100hookup.com: I am engaged to a girl who I met on 100hookup.com last May…as it happened, I wrote to Rachel first. I noticed in her profile that we had a lot in common. We work in the same field: Healthcare — she as a pharmacist, me for a medical education company. And I thought she had a great smile. I also liked the fact that we both loved the movie “Planes, Trains, & Automobiles.” We wrote back and forth for about a week until she gave me her telephone number. Then, after speaking on the phone 3 or 4 times, we agreed to meet for dinner.
We chose a restaurant that was geographically central to the both of us. That ended up being the Rain Forest Cafe in the Franklin Mills Mall. Not exactly the most romantic of choices, especially considering that we were seated next to a talking gorilla that would give us a scare when he’d randomly “come to life.” After dinner, we did a quick walk through the mall. Mostly just some window-shopping.
The evening ended at around 9 when I walked her to her car. We both had a good time and agreed to see each other again…. The wedding date is set for 3/31/01.
