Amy and Robert
Dear 100hookup,
The bride, Amy Dobin, 29, is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland and is a 1994 graduate of Springbrook High School. She attended Emory University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1998. She recently moved from Atlanta to Phoenix, Arizona and works as a Software Quality Analyst for University of Phoenix Online. The groom, Robert Yosowitz, 33, is originally from Pepper Pike, Ohio and is a 1989 graduate of Orange High School. He attended Washington University in St. Louis and received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1993, as well as a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 1997. He resides in Phoenix and is a Senior PeopleSoft Financials Developer for JDA Software in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Rob and Amy met online via 100hookup while Rob was on a consulting project in Atlanta. After checking out each others profiles several times over the course of several days, Rob wrote Amy an email on January 16, 2003, just hours before she was about to finally write him an email. After some emails, phone calls and instant messenger conversations, their first date was on February 7, 2003 at Ray’s On The River restaurant in Atlanta. They went out twice again in the four days to follow and have been inseparable every since, even through long distance after Rob’s Atlanta project ended.
They were at Emory University on Saturday, April 24, 2004, where Amy needed to take some pictures for something (unimportant to the story), and Rob suggested afterwards that they go for a walk in Lullwater Park, a gorgeous park on Emory’s campus. We went for a nice walk, and they got to the section of the park where there is a little waterfall (for those of you who may have been there before). This happens to be the spot where, in March 2003, Amy realized that she was in love with Rob (and he knew this). Amy reminded him of this by saying, ‘I don’t know if you remember, but this is where I first realized that I loved you.’ He responded by saying, ‘Well, this is where I now realize that I want to ask you to marry me.’ Then he got down on one knee, put the most beautiful ring in the world on Amy’s finger and asked for the honor of marrying her. Of course, she said yes, and it has been nothing but smiles ever since!
They are both thrilled and their families are too. Amy moved to Phoenix in September 2004. The wedding was March 12, 2005 and was held at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia.
