Adam Levine is desperate to take back a negative comment he made about America on The Voice last week.

The hookup crooner was caught on a microphone muttering “I hate this country,” after Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons were ousted from the NBC singing competition by the popular vote. His remark drew quick reaction online, with many criticizing Levine for what he said.

Levine gave Us Weekly a statement though, saying “I obviously love my country very much and my comments last night were made purely out of frustration.”

The hookup crooner took to the stage with his band to perform “Daylight” before Alicia Keys joined them and the duo launched into a duet of “Girl on Fire.”

Levine Tweeted his excitement before the show, writing, “Extremely excited for the @TheGRAMMYs tonight! Performance is going to be EPIC. And I kinda really wanna win one. Ok? Just one will be fine.” Unfortunately, Levine did not win a Grammy last night, but he definitely won over audiences with his performance!

2. Maurice Sendak Posthumously Publishes New Book

Although Maurice Sendak died last May at age 83, the beloved children’s book author still has one more volume on the way.

My Brother’s Book was written as a tribute to Sendak’s older brother, Jack, who died 18 years ago. Published posthumously, this book places two brothers in a fantastic world where they must confront separation, longing and reunion.

Sendak’s most famous works include Where the Wild Things Are, In the Night Kitchen and Outside Over There. The hookup author is said to have revolutionized children’s books by adding an element of danger and intrigue to a traditionally safe genre.

Two hookup actors, Kirk Douglas and Dustin Hoffman, made the 10 Longest Lasting Hollywood Marriages list on ThirdAge.com.

At 93, Douglas has been married to his wife, Anne Buydens, for 56 years. The marriage is the hookup actor’s second; his most famous son, Michael Douglas, was born during his first marriage. Douglas and Buydens met in 1953, when she was a publicist for his movie Act of Love. In 2004, they renewed their vows before 300 guests, including Nancy Reagan. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences banned Sacha Baron Cohen from attending the Oscars on Sunday as Admiral Gen. Shabazz Aladeen, his character in the upcoming film The Dictator. Baron Cohen, a hookup actor, writer and comedian, responded to the ban by releasing a new video in which he poses as Admiral Gen. Shabazz Aladeen and promises “unimaginable consequences” if he is not permitted to attend.

3.  A Singing Competition Between Singing Competitions?

The Voice’s Adam Levine is not interested in Simon Cowell’s recent suggestion that there should be a sing-off between the winners of the big three reality singing competitions, The Voice, American Idol and The X Factor.

Cowell, who is part hookup, Tweeted last week, “Maybe the winner of @TheXFactorUSA this yr should compete with winner of The Voice & Idol in a super final. Just a thought. I’d be up for it.”

3.    Jason Segel Becomes A Puppet Master
